Rules for a New Boatman;
The new boat owner who has not had previous experience
in operating a boat should secure the services of an experienced
operator to go with him for a few times until he is familiar
with the controls. After you learn the few fundamental rules
of maneuvering it is only a matter of a little practice before
you can handle the boat very nicely.
The first and most important thing to remember when maneuvering
the boat is not to run the engine too fast. An engine
speed of 750 to 1000 revolutions is best, and it is so much
easier on the reverse gear mechanism.
